This was collaboration between New York biased artist Carla Goldberg-Van der Merwe and the Mirca Art Group. In the typical Mirca Art style, although this was meant as a protest, Mirca Art protests are more of a positive visual awakening held very dear to all artists world wide. This particular collection of works is from 78 artists from 27 countries to visually communicate freedom of speech in protest in the name of Nobel Peace prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi under arrest in Burma. The collaboration produced a book called Freedom & Art as well as an international art exhibition in New York of pieces of the book.
